Will dispersions with a matt appearance be fashionable?

Difficulty in obtaining a matt effect when working with certain resins can pose a problem as the desired result is not achieved in the final products. In order to achieve it, Comindex recommends the use of PUR-MATT matt dispersions.

This range of products consists of inherently matt-effect polyurethane dispersions that achieve the desired finish without the incorporation of additives. We can use it as the sole resin in the formulation or include it as an additive to modify the surface properties of other products. It is available in the following grades:

PUR-MATT 300 VP: Stands out due to its transparency on dark substrates, its excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance, soft feel and anti-slip properties. In terms of applications, it is recommended for plastic coatings and overprint varnishes, where it improves the appearance of the underlying print.
PUR-MATT 340 VP: Very similar to the 300 product in both properties and applications, it is also recommended for corona treated BOPP plastic coatings.
PUR-MATT 970 VP: Stands out due to its high chemical and scratch resistance, a feel similar to paper and its anti-slip properties. Recommended applications are plastic and wood coatings and overprint varnishes. • PUR-MATT 600 VP: Specially designed for interior wall paints with a high level of pigments or fillers. It exhibits high resistance to burnishing, abrasion and staining.
PUR-MATT UV 29 VP: This dispersion is intended for overprint varnishes and UV curing film coatings with a silky feel.
