Techpolymer microspheres: the best resource

Sekisui Plastics is one of the largest chemical companies in Japan. One of its business lines is the manufacture and marketing of plastic microspheres called Techpolymer.

Techpolymer microspheres are based on PMMA and PS. There exist different qualities depending on the particle hardness, size and distribution. Techpolymer includes microspheres with high recovery, which provide a high scratch resistance.

Moreover, recently Sekisui Plastics has developed new grades of Techpolymer for water systems. The new microspheres have better incorporation and dispersion in the environment by containing hydrophilic groups and can be used in coatings.
