New wetting and dispersing additive for highly filled PVC

The new DISPERPLAST-1180 is a very effective wetting and dispersing additive for systems with a high mineral filler content where conventional production additives and wetting agents reach their limits of effectiveness. The mineral filler content of formulations is often increased, but this can have undesired effects, for example:

  • Loss of mechanical properties
  • Slower fusion time and increase in production time
  • Plate out

  • Poor lamination of individual layers

The use of DISPERPLAST-1180 not only favours cost reduction due to the increase in mineral filler, it also enhances the quality of the finished product. As a result, DISPERPLAST-1180 is particularly suitable for high-quality laminates, such as PVC-based designer floors (LVT – Luxury Vinyl Tiles).
