At Comindex SA we are indeed aware that Earth’s resources are finite and, consequently, it is vital for us to promote new processes that allow us to obtain more sustainable products based on renewable raw materials. For many years we have been distributing a broad range of epoxy resins that lead to many different applications, including:

Construction
Coatings
Composites
Adhesives

Aditya Birla Chemicals has developed a new range of partially bio-based G-version epoxy resins. These are resins obtained from glycerol stemming from renewable sources, which gives us resins with a carbon content from renewable sources of between 25-30% according to the grade.

The carbon content from renewable sources is provided by glycerol as shown in the following diagram:
