New Cornflake aluminium pigments

At Comindex we have increased our range of aluminium pigments with the new Cornflake grades from Metaflake.

As with the Silver Dollar range, our represented company uses an innovative and environmentally friendly production method – the aluminium milling is carried out with water as the milling medium – giving their products the following advantages:

Free of cosolvents or VOCs
No release of odour-causing volatiles
Ideal for Ecolabel formulations

Their pigment content is around 80% and they are supplied in a wax carrier. This makes pigment dispersion easier and provides good wetting. They also feature chemical stabilisation that prevents generation of gases in a water-based environment.

These pigments are intended for water-based coatings and printing inks where the level of shine does not need to be as high as the Silver Dollar grades.
