New ARMIPENT SERIES 2 fibres from FINMA Chemie

FINMA Chemie has just launched new grades of Armipent (series 2), a reinforcement and rheological agent based on silica modified polyolefin fibres.

As a rheology adjustment agent, it offers the following properties:

  • Avoids phase separation.
  • Offers improved application at higher layer thicknesses on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Provides flexibility.
  • Prevents the formation of cracks and shrinkage due to drying

The new ARMIPENT series 2 has the benefit that it is not labelled as a hazardous substance because it is cristobalite-free, making it safer to handle. It offers easy incorporation, thanks to low dust generation and lack of fibre aggregates.

It also offers improvements in terms of mechanical stability (improved compressive and tensile strength) and allows for greater adhesive strength.

Application areas:
flooring, mortars, putties, flexible membranes, adhesives, coatings and filling compounds.
