If you are looking for high-performance coatings with optimal chemical, mechanical and thermal resistance, we at Comindex would highly recommend Silixan’s high quality resins.

The Silixan U range consists of resins that combine a flexible organic part with a urethane-based isocyanate-free chemistry with a silane chemistry-based part which, upon curing, forms hard cores with high resistance in the final substrate. These cores are binded to the flexible polymer matrix. The combination of these two chemicals provides us with high-performance resins offering the following properties:

Excellent abrasion resistance
High chemical resistance
High scratch resistance (reflux properties)
High toughness, but with flexibility
Weather and UV stability

These resins offer adherence to a huge range of surfaces, such as metals (particularly aluminium or stainless steel), plastics or walls, making them hugely popular in the formulation of pigmented or transparent coatings for the motoring sector.

Moreover, these resins may also be used as co-binders for a broad number of systems – silicon, melamine, epoxy or polyurethane resins – enhancing their mechanical properties.
