Fight against corrosion of your coatings

Corrosion processes are produced by an oxidation-reduction reaction in aqueous environments. The end result is the generation of different oxides that cause the degradation of the metal surface, affecting its strength and mechanical properties.

This results in: loss of adhesion between coating layers, total detachment of the coating, leaks due to deterioration of the metal and, in extreme cases, structural failures and total deterioration of the substrate.

Laboratorios Labema is a specialist in the development and manufacture of corrosion inhibitors. Its products have multiple applications such as paints, varnishes, lubricants, antifreeze and coolants, temporary protection, water soluble oils and detergents (industrial cleaners).

At Comindex we work to offer our clients a wide range of corrosion inhibitors from three main ranges:

AB RUST® AND EMADOX®: Flash rust inhibitors based on traditional chemistry (fossil carbon).

They provide temporary protection of metal surfaces by means of three main mechanisms:

  • Adsorption, creating a chemical barrier.
  • Passivation, enhancing the formation of an oxide layer.
  • Formation of insoluble compounds on the surface.

Through these three mechanisms we achieve:

  • Protection of various metals such as iron, cast iron, carbon steel and others.
  • In-can protection.
  • Anti-flash rust protection, preventing the appearance of rust on metal substrates during the drying process in the application of aqueous products.

VEGERUST®: Flash rust inhibitors based on sustainable chemistry (bio-based carbon). They make it possible to obtain similar results to the previous ranges, without greater costs, while committing to the preservation of the environment and working together towards more sustainable chemistry.

EMARUST®: Liquid corrosion inhibitors. They can work alone as an alternative to anticorrosive pigments or in combination with them to create a synergistic effect. They provide long-lasting protection.
