Emarust^®CL7-w is a liquid corrosion inhibitor that lends water-borne formulations the following properties:

Enhanced corrosion resistance as a complement to anti-corrosion pigments
Flash-rust protection
Improved adhesion of dry paint to metal

Emarust^®CL7-w is designed for use in water-borne formulations applied to metal, such as:

Anti-corrosion primers
Direct to metal paints
Transparent varnishes

It offers the following advantages:

Easy handling as it is supplied in liquid form
The pigment volume concentration is unchanged meaning no effect on gloss
It can be used in transparent systems, such as varnishes
It offers anti-flash rust properties without making the dry film more hydrophilic

This additive completes Comindex’s liquid corrosion inhibitor line with a new product that offers more enhanced corrosion protection than that achieved with paint applied wet, thus extending protection over the service life of the paint.
