The commitment of Lehmann & Voss to future generations

The German group Lehmann & Voss is conscious of the importance of sustainability in order to leave future generations with a better planet to live on.

For this reason, the group has made a firm commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has made them a core part of its strategy.

Certifications and covenants that demonstrate the group’s commitment

In 2021, Lehmann & Voss obtained two new certifications demonstrating its increased commitment to sustainability: Silver EcoVadis and DQS under ISO 14001:2015.

Since 2017, they have also been a signatory to the UN Global Compact.

By doing so, they commit to integrating into their corporate strategy both the sustainable development plan and its objectives and also to cooperate in projects that promote the objectives of the United Nations, in particular the Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Social commitment to the vulnerable
 
  • Regular medical checkups for its staff members
  • Work areas that are compliant with safety regulations
  • Mental health counselling in the workplace
  • Cooperating with schools in the area to assist students in choosing a career
  • Joining the Responsible Care Initiative (RC) programme to actively communicate with the public and educate about the operation of an environmentally responsible chemical company
 
  • Using green electricity for its production plants in Germany from 2022 onwards
  • Sourcing high quality raw materials that are environmentally friendly
  • Recycling of waste generated (recovering phosphate, avoiding discharges into water and reducing the generation of sulphide pollution in the air)
 
  • Planting flower meadows to prevent deforestation in big cities
  • Renovating office heating systems and installing more efficient alternatives
  • Reducing the carbon footprint generated by its fleet of vehicles
  • Reducing paper waste through digitalisation of office processes
