Comindex cooperates with the Advanced Material Cluster (MAV) created by ACC1Ó and CTM (Manresa Technology Centre).

The MAV cluster brings together companies with common interests who seek to launch projects to develop new advanced materials with applications in the sector. The cluster’s members include companies, institutions and entities that are directly or indirectly present in the advanced material industry value chain.

Advanced materials possess far superior properties to conventional ones. For instance, they have a higher durability , provide greater mechanical and chemical resistance and are tougher.
The development of advanced materials has applications in several fields such as coatings, composites (wind turbine blades), medical implants, etc.
The aim of Comindex within the cluster is to advise researchers about the use of additives to optimise the properties of these materials.

The companies and institutions within the MAV cluster operate in the following areas:
New metal materials
Polymer materials
Composites
Ceramic materials
