Are you coming to the MAV Day?

Back in June this year, our Technical Director of Sales Tais Arp joined the Board of Directors of the MAV Cluster as a member.

As members of the Cluster and having taken part in the various activities and proposals organised over many years, we at Comindex are highly familiar with this association.

But… do you know what CMAV is; what its purpose is; and what activities it promotes? Allow us to reveal all!

The Advanced Material Cluster of Catalonia, an association seeking to boost the competitiveness of its partner companies

The Advanced Material Cluster of Catalonia (CMAV) is a technological association with a strategy centred on development and innovation. Its goal is to promote the competitiveness of its partner companies, which operate in the advanced materials field.

To do so, it fosters initiatives and proposals in a range of fields, enabling various partners and related sectors to engage and to influence partnerships where all parties benefit.

It also provides technical information, data on markets and sectors, innovative solutions and added value to enable all partners to gain a more in-depth acquaintance of the sector in which they work or indeed of new sectors into which they wish to expand.

The association currently has more than 70 members which include companies from the entire value chain of advanced materials: manufacturers, end users, primary producers, transformers, machinery manufacturers, distributors, specialist consultancy firms, universities and technology centres.

Some of the upcoming initiatives of the MAV Cluster

On 2 December, the MAV Day – the yearly face-to-face gathering for Cluster members – will be held at Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime (Castelldefels). Also, this event is open to any person who wishes to be present.

The conference will focus on the topic of energy transition from the standpoint of advanced materials.

The programme includes lectures from companies and organisations with extensive experience in the field of energy and advanced materials, while also setting time aside for networking and B2B meetings.

Looking ahead to 2023, work has already begun on preparing various conferences. For instance, on 26 January 2023 a conference will take place under the title: “Sustainability models with advanced materials”. The programme will be published shortly.
