Comindex distributes the PELLEX range, high quality Silver Dollar type pigments on a polyethylene wax carrier. These pigments provide various properties depending on the particle size, which ranges from 9 microns, providing high opacity, up to 340 microns, providing a more sparkling effect.

Metaflake uses an innovative, environmentally-friendly process, milling the aluminium directly in a water medium. As a result, the aluminium pigments obtained display excellent properties – such as high gloss (flip-flop effect) and high stability against generation of gases in aqueous formulations – and they do not contain residual solvents, VOCs or traces of odours.

In addition, they comply with FDA and 2010/11/EU food contact regulations and can be used mainly in polyolefins and other types of polymers, in both extrusion and injection systems.

Comindex also distributes the PELLEX CHROME range, which use the same carrier – a polyethylene wax carrier – to achieve a very high level of gloss, replicating a paint. This range is therefore recommended for engineering polymers.
