Green, sustainable and efficient detergency

With growing demand for active natural ingredients in the detergency industry, Comindex has incorporated a line of lactic acid and lactic acid-based biosolvents. These solvents are biosustainable, biodegradable and have a very low carbon footprint. They are obtained from lactic acid which, in turn, is obtained by fermenting sugars from cane, beet, corn and wheat.

It has a very broad range of uses in detergency:

GALASTER’s lactic acid esters can be used as industrial cleaning solvents or degreasers, helping detergents in the removal of stubborn stains.
GALACID lactic acid and the associated GALAFLOW sodic and potassium salts are advisable for domestic detergency owing to their efficiency combined with sustainability. They stand out on account of the many properties they feature:
Non-corrosive on metals or plastics
Useful bacteriostatic effect with cleaning of bathrooms and tableware
Non-irritant to skin, making them useful for hand washing
GALACID is a powerful limescale remover (for instance, on coffee machines)
