We’re expanding the Comindex team!

We are delighted to welcome and introduce three new team members to Comindex. To strengthen our presence in the Portuguese market, we have added two new technical sales advisors. This growth is driven by the increasing demand in Portugal and our role as the official distributor of BYK in the country since July 2024. Additionally, we are committed to enhancing our marketing efforts by welcoming a new Marketing Technician to the Comindex team.

Olinda Durães holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto de Engenharia do Porto and has worked in chemical product distribution since 2001. Her career began in an applications laboratory for paints and textiles. After four years, she transitioned to the sales team, and in 2007 she specialised in selling products for the paints, adhesives and detergents industries. Since then, Olinda has focused on promoting dyes, resins and additives in Portugal and Galicia. At Comindex, she will serve as a technical sales advisor in the Portuguese market, covering the paints, inks, adhesives and detergents sectors.

Raquel Xavier holds a master’s degree in Polymer Engineering from the Universidade do Minho. She began her professional career at the Japanese company Yazaki Saltano, which specialises in manufacturing components for the automotive industry, where she was responsible for purchasing and producing all plastic parts. She later worked as the Head of R&D at Bolflex, a company producing rubber compounds, where she contributed to improving and developing new materials. Simultaneously, she provided technical support to another company in the Bolflex group, Rubberlink, which focuses on material recovery and recycling. Rubberlink holds a European patent for a unique rubber devulcanisation process. At Rubberlink, Raquel participated in various projects to improve the recycling and devulcanisation process; she developed new recycled materials and attended several local seminars on industrial sustainability. At Comindex, Raquel will serve as a technical sales advisor for the plastics industry in the Portuguese market.

Helena Palma studied Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Girona and later specialised in Digital Marketing. She began her professional career as a community manager in two marketing agencies. She then became the head of marketing, communication and public relations for a company specialising in the distribution of cosmetics and medical-aesthetic equipment. Seeking new professional challenges, Helena has joined the Comindex team with the goal of enhancing the team’s skills and elevating our marketing, communication and event initiatives to the next level.
