Achieving high-quality metallic finishes in technical polymers without the need to paint your parts is now possible thanks to Metaflake’s new Pellex Chrome SAN aluminium pigment line. These new concentrates are specially formulated for transparent and semi-transparent technical polymers, including PC, ABS, PC/ABS, PMMA, PS and PA.

The new Pellex Chrome grades, pre-dispersed in SAN, provide superior shine and high-quality metallic effects. These “polished silver dollar” type pigments are supplied in easily dosed pellets, which prevent dust formation and simplify cleaning. They are available in a wide range of particle sizes, enabling effects such as high opacity, gloss and sparkle:

Like all Metaflake pigments, the new Pellex Chrome SAN grades are produced using Metaflake’s patented water-milling technology, a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional aluminium particle production processes. Thanks to this innovative technology, all pigments are hydrocarbon- and VOC-free, meeting the strictest food contact regulations.
