Solvent-based resins for paints

Since 2022 Comindex has exclusively distributed solvent-based resins and 100% solid resins manufactured by our represented company KEMPRO for the markets of Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

We offer an extensive catalogue of solvent-based resins and can help you develop your paints with guiding formulations. Moreover, our represented company benefits from laboratories that they place at our disposal in order to perform applications of these resins. 

The addition of these new references to our portfolio enables us to expand the range of products we offer for the car refinish, timber and industrial sectors.
 

Car repainting

1K thermoplastic acrylic resins (KROL ACS), 2K thermostable acrylic resins (KROLAC) and saturated polyester resins (KROLAT) which are solvent-based for the formulation of primers, finishes, basecoats and varnishes, and they offer:

 

  • Excellent compatibility with other components.
  • Fast drying.
  • Enhanced adherence (between layers as well).
  • Great mechanical and chemical resistance.
  • Very good weather resistance.

 

Timber coatings

1K thermoplastic acrylic resins (KROL ACS), 2K thermostable acrylic resins (KROLAC) and saturated polyester resins (KROLAT) which are solvent-based for the formulation of sealers, primers, finishes and varnishes, and they offer:

 

  • Excellent compatibility with other components.
  • Fast drying.
  • Enhanced adherence (between layers as well).
  • Easy sanding.
  • Great mechanical and chemical resistance.
  • Very good weather resistance.

 

Industrial coatings

1K thermoplastic acrylic resins (KROL ACS), 2K thermostable acrylic resins (KROLAC) and saturated polyester resins (KROLAT) which are solvent-based for the formulation of primers, finishes and general industrial varnishes for application on various metal surfaces, and they offer:

 

  • High gloss.
  • Fast drying.
  • Enhanced adherence (between layers as well).
  • Great mechanical and chemical resistance.
  • Very good weather resistance.

 

Polyaspartic resins

Reactive polyaspartic esters with amine functionality (KROL PAE). These constitute a 100% solid product, formulated for applications on cement, steel or composite surfaces. They crosslink with aliphatic polyisocyanates and they offer the following features:

 

  • Faster drying times at room temperature than traditional PUR 2K coatings, meaning a quicker return to service or earlier handling of coated parts.
  • Fewer layers.
  • High film thickness in a single coat.
  • Lower energy costs and CO2 emissions.
  • Easy application.
  • Virtually VOC free.
  • Adjustable flexibility according to the chosen polyisocyanate.
  • Resistance to acids and alkalis.
  • Abrasion and impact resistance.
  • Easy to repair.
  • UV resistance.

Aside from the sectors stated, we offer a broad range of products for other applications: coatings on plastic substrates, flexo and gravure inks, adhesives, and textiles and imitation wood (rigid PU).
