The Sustainable Development Goals, a step closer thanks to the commitment of BBA Ecotech

BBA Ecotech is an Italian company that produces probiotic blends applicable to fields such as wastewater purification, household waste treatment and the formulation of detergents.

Committed to the environment from the beginning

Since its inception, its mission has been to find and develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the environment.

For this reason, among other actions, it has launched “We Care Sea Life”, a campaign to support the marine ecosystem whereby it makes a commitment to its preservation through the use of natural and safe technologies for the entire ecosystem.

Working for sustainable development

BBA Ecotech are determined to be actively involved in achieving the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and, with the objective of caring for the environment and creating a more sustainable and safe working environment for all of its employees, it has committed to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

	Strict observance of safety regulations in the working environment and appropriate training for workers Regular medical check-ups for all employees Funds for guaranteed supplementary healthcare for workers			Training programmes, for both quality and creation of personal development opportunities
	Percentage of women workers above 50%, both in the workforce and management positions			Cooperation with local companies through the supply of sustainable products to clean the streets and treat municipal waste in an environmentally-friendly way
	Constant consideration for the reduction of plastics, both during production and in packaging Preference for solid formulas, without the use of water Prioritisation of the use of natural raw materials over those of chemical origin			Development of super-concentrated or solid products to reduce the volume of products and generate less CO₂ emissions Promotion of online meetings to reduce transport emissions
	ISO 14001 management system Searching for natural alternatives over chemicals, taking advantage of microorganisms Promotion of the concept of sustainability in their products to raise awareness among end consumers
