Ready-to-use and non-dust generating nanomaterials

These days, there is a need for products with better mechanical performance as well as advanced properties that enable new uses.

In recent years, sectors such as the coating industry have started to work with carbon nanomaterials – nanofibres, carbon nanotubes, graphene oxide, etc. – which provide properties such as thermal and electric conductivity, shielding from electromagnetic radiation, corrosion resistance, antibacterial activity, etc.

However, their use is complicated due to the generation of dust and the need for correct dispersion and incorporation in the system.

For this reason, Applynano has developed ready-to-use products, distributed by Comindex, under the name of EASYNANO. The concentrates based on nanomaterials – both in paste and clay form – present the following advantages

The additives are easy to process and their direct incorporation into the polymer does not entail changes in production processes and does not require special equipment.
They do not create dust, avoiding tedious cleaning of the mixing equipment, as well as worker exposure and environmental contamination.
They are incorporated in small amounts, <1% of active material, meaning that other properties of the polymer are not affected.

These nanomaterials, in paste or clay form, are pre-processed to ensure easy and rapid dispersion, as well as compatibility with different polymeric matrices, optimised for water, alcohol or solvent-based formulations.
