Metaflake prides itself on its revolutionary and environmentally friendly technology to produce aluminium and other special effect pigments. Metaflake strives to continually minimise its environmental impact and that of its customers to contribute to a colourful World in a sustainable way.

Some of the efforts of Metaflake which contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals include:

Elimination of VOC emissions through unique water-based special effect pigment manufacturing processes – SDGs 9, 12 & 13
Avoidance of any residual solvents in the products – SDGs 12 & 13
Installation of 100kW of solar power capacity – SDG 7
Installation of solar water heaters and heat pumps for the office and shower blocks – SDGs 3 & 7
Planned installation of a windmill to contribute to reducing carbon footprint – SDG 7
Recycling and re-use of drums and kegs where possible – SDGs 12 & 13
Introduction of unique effect pigments derived from natural, sustainable raw materials – SDGs 9 & 12
Use of electric vehicles – SDG 7
Staff members participated in the life saving course learning First Aid techniques bringing another 18 life savers into the local community – SDGs 3 & 4
Funded the installation of a life-saving Public Access Defibrillator on the outside of our premises – SDGs 3 & 11
Metaflake is committed to valuing diversity, believing that people from different backgrounds can bring fresh ideas, thinking and approaches which make the way work is undertaken more effective and efficient – SDGs 5 & 10
Metaflake provides a progressive training and development scheme to enable staff to develop relevant skills and acquire knowledge to underpin their current role and career aspirations – SDGs 3, 4 & 8
