PB.60 Indanthrone blue: why use it?

Dominion Colour Corporation produces high performance colour pigments, among them, P B. 60, Indanthrone blue, DCC Blue A3RN.

Main characteristics:

- Recommended for the highest performance coatings, both solvent and water borne automotive coatings.
- High transparency and unique reddish blue shade, make DCC Blue A3RN an essential tool for styling effect colours by combination with micas and alumina flake.
- High-performance pigment with outstanding fastness to light, weathering, heat and chemicals, also non-bronzing.
- Thanks to its high weathering fastness, DCC Blue A3RN is also advocated for use in coil and architectural powder coatings.

Why use it?

In Automotive coatings:
- Styling. Preferred over PV. 23 and PB. 15 in effect pigments based colours, because PB. 60 does not produce an unattractive red flop Better durability than all other organic pigments.
- Poor shade stability due to variable flocculation of PV. 23 / PB. 15 in application, for why certain Auto OEM manufacturers don’t use P.V. 23.

In Coil coatings:
- Better durability than other blue organic pigments.
- More cost-effective than Cobalt Blue.

In Powder coatings:
- Better durability than other blue organic pigments.
- No typical PV. 23 and PB. 15 bronzing effect on exterior exposure.
