SILIXAN develops high quality resins for formulation of paints, coatings and lacquers with excellent resistance to scratches, temperature and weather conditions, among other properties.

Its range of products includes SILIXAN T. This product class comprises SiO₂-based resins, with low or no organic modification, used in the development of temperature stable coatings (250ºC to 800ºC).

SILIXAN T resins are transparent and may be used in water-borne, solvent-based or 100% solid systems. Some of the primary applications include the following:

Protective clear coat on stainless steel, aluminium, glass or ceramic.
Fire protection coatings.
UV and chemical resistant coatings.

Silixan benefits from extensive experience in the paints and coatings sector and is highly dedicated to researching and developing new resins.

On account of the multi-purpose nature of the raw materials employed, the company is able to develop new combinations of materials in order to achieve new surface finishes.
