New ADINSClean photocatalytic additive

Comindex is expanding its portfolio by incorporating a new agent, ADINSClean, a photocatalytic additive for developing self-cleaning surfaces and photocatalytic decontaminants.

ADINSClean is a photocatalytic additive based on a TiO2  functionalised sepiolite which acts removing organic matter from the surface by the action of light.

Owing to its innovative technology, ADINSClean is suitable to be used for self-cleaning and decontaminant surfaces, reducing the costs of maintenance and improving the environmental quality of zones in which it is applied as it reduces the concentration of contaminants (NOx or VOCs), which are generated to a great extent by the intensity of traffic in large urban centres.

The primary applications of ADINSClean are as follows:

  • Coatings
  • Ceramics
  • Mortar, concrete and asphalt
