DCC’S ALTERNATIVE TO PY.34 LEAD PIGMENTS: PY.184-BASED HYBRID PIGMENTS

Dominion Colour Corporation has developed bismuth vanadate chemistry-based hybrid pigments in combination with organic and inorganic pigments as an alternative to PY.34 lead pigments.

These types of pigments are offered as a swift, simple solution to formulating high performance plastics and industrial coatings that adjust to the brightest colours.

As an alternative to medium yellow lead pigment the following have been developed:

  • DCC YELLOW 5RLX: highly saturated shades with outstanding opacity. Recommended for architectural and industrial paints, although it may also be used in road marking paints.
  • DCC YELLOR 5RLT: its primary characteristic is its excellent colour fastness. Especially developed for use in hot melt and road marking paints.
     

The following pigment has been developed as an alternative to lemon yellow:

  • DCC YELLOW 3RLX: highly saturated shades with outstanding opacity. Highly recommended for architectural and industrial coatings, although it may also be used in road marking paints.
